From childhood to adulthood and old age, regular physical activity brings a series of benefits that contribute to a healthier and happier life. Among the various types of exercises, weightlifting stands out as an activity that offers significant benefits at different stages of life.
Engaging in sports from childhood promotes physical, motor, and social development in children, as well as teaching important values such as teamwork and respect for rules. In adolescence and adulthood, sports are essential for maintaining good physical fitness, preventing chronic diseases, and reducing stress. In weightlifting, muscles are strengthened, posture is improved, and injuries are prevented. Additionally, it helps in weight loss, body definition, and increased self-esteem, providing greater independence and quality of life in old age.

Weightlifting is a physical activity that consists of strength training using free weights or machines. Its benefits include muscle strengthening, improvement of body composition, increase in bone density, injury prevention, promotion of weight loss, and body definition. Additionally, weightlifting contributes to improved posture, increased self-esteem, and promotion of greater functional independence throughout life.
