Water is essential for all forms of life on Earth. It is constantly moving, following a continuous cycle that sustains our planet. This cycle begins with evaporation, when water from oceans, rivers, and lakes is heated by the sun and transforms into water vapor. This vapor rises into the atmosphere, where it condenses into clouds. When the clouds become too heavy, precipitation occurs, and water returns to Earth’s surface in the form of rain, snow, or hail. Part of this water is absorbed by the soil, a process called infiltration, while another part flows into rivers and lakes. Plants also play an important role in the water cycle, releasing water through transpiration, which returns to the atmosphere to complete the cycle. Understanding and caring for this cycle is essential to ensure clean and sufficient water for all.

WATER WELL
A water well is a hole dug in the ground to access groundwater. This water can be used for many things, such as drinking, cooking, and watering plants. To dig a well, special equipment, like a drill, is needed. As the drill digs, it passes through layers of soil and rock until it reaches the water table, where water is stored. After the well is dug, a pump is used to bring the water up, making it accessible for human use. Water wells are an important source of water in many communities, especially in areas without easy access to rivers or lakes. It’s important to maintain water wells to ensure that the water they provide is clean and safe for consumption.
