There are many different types of animals in the world. They can be divided into two main groups: vertebrate and invertebrate animals. Vertebrate animals have a backbone or spine, which helps them move and stay strong. An example of a vertebrate animal is the elephant, one of the largest land animals in the world. Vertebrates also include fish, birds, reptiles, and mammals, like dogs and cats. These animals come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and habitats, but all share the characteristic of having a backbone.

ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
Elephants are some of the largest land animals in the world. They have large, robust bodies, strong legs, and a long, flexible trunk that they use to grab food, drink water, and communicate with other elephants. Elephants live in family groups called herds and are known for being intelligent and social. They feed mainly on plants and spend most of their time foraging. Elephants are also very important to the ecosystems they live in, helping to create clearings in the forest and spreading plant seeds. Unfortunately, elephants face threats like illegal hunting and habitat loss, so it is important to protect them and conserve their natural habitats.
