It is also celebrated in Brazil on October 31st, but the festival does not have the same meaning and cultural value as in countries in the northern hemisphere. Much of this tradition is influenced by language courses that promote the date as a way of introducing students to the culture of English-speaking countries.
For us, Halloween is mainly marked by costume parties and decorations in bars, cafes and other establishments, which adopt the theme of monsters, vampires, witches, etc.
The main symbols of Halloween are: the colors orange and black; pumpkin lantern; masks and costumes; skeletons and ghosts; bats; tricks and treats.

ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
BAT
It belongs to the Chiroptera order of the mammal class. His hands underwent modifications and were specialized for flight, like wings. Bats represent a quarter of the world’s mammal species, with more than 1,100 described species, and are the only ones that fly.
Like all mammals, its body is covered in hair and it feeds its young with milk produced in the female’s mammary glands.
The bat is also part of the imagery of Halloween celebrations, as is the vampire, both representing the world of darkness, the gloomy and the nocturnal.
