The United Nations (UN) is an international organization founded in 1945 with the goal of promoting peace, security, and cooperation among member countries. In 2015, the UN launched the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, consisting of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address the most urgent global challenges such as poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, clean energy, among others. Economic development plays a crucial role in achieving the SDGs as it can generate resources for investments in infrastructure, health, education, and jobs, contributing to improving people’s quality of life. However, it is essential that economic growth be inclusive, equitable, and sustainable, considering the social and environmental aspects of human development.

Drilling rigs play a fundamental role in the oil industry, allowing the extraction of oil and natural gas from underground to meet global energy demands. Oil production is an important source of revenue for many developing countries, contributing to economic growth, job creation, and funding social programs such as health and education. The development and operation of oil drilling rigs can have a positive impact on the socioeconomic development of certain regions.
