The camera cart, or dolly, is an essential piece of equipment in cinema and television for creating smooth and controlled camera movements. It allows precise movements along tracks or smooth surfaces, providing a wide variety of dynamic shots. The main benefits include smooth movements, directional flexibility, added depth and dynamism to scenes, and stability. Used in various types of movements, such as advances, retreats, and lateral tracking, it enhances the visual narrative.
