CONNECT

Cultural diversity refers to the different customs of a society, among which we can mention: clothing, cuisine, religious manifestations, traditions, and also the differences in languages, customs, accessories, utensils, lifestyles, values, and forms of artistic expression.

The main propagators of Brazilian culture are the European colonizers, the indigenous population, and African slaves. Later, Italian, Japanese, German, Polish, Arab, and other immigrants contributed to the cultural plurality of Brazil.

Cultural diversity enriches and develops societies, making it essential to value and protect it, promoting mutual understanding and respect.

ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

FISHING ROD

This is an instrument used for fishing. It is a long rod, usually made of wood, plastic or fiber, with a line attached to the end. The line has a hook with bait to attract the fish. When the fish bites the bait, the person pulls the rod to try to catch it.

BUILD

As a team, build a prototype of a fishing rod. Use the parts available in the structural robotics technology kit. Carefully follow each step of the assembly and testing. All members must actively participate in the process and contribute ideas and solutions.

CONTINUE

After building the prototype, share your experience with your colleagues and answer their questions.

  • What is the function of the green connector on the fishing rod?
  • Did different sizes of rods work together? What color is the smallest one? And the largest one?
  • Did the fishing rod stand upright?

Then, put away all the materials used.
