ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

DOLPHIN

It is a sociable marine mammal that lives in groups and breathes through lungs, needing to rise to the surface to breathe through the blowhole, located on top of the head. Its body is long and tube-shaped, which helps it swim quickly and easily in the water, using vertical movements of its tail. In the sea, the dolphin performs agile maneuvers, such as jumps, turns and gentle curves.

BUILD

As a team, build a prototype of a Dolphin. Use the parts available in the structural robotics technology kit. Carefully follow each step of the assembly and testing. All members must actively participate in the process and contribute ideas and solutions.

When you finish building the prototype, you and your classmates should share your experience by answering the following questions:

  • Did the dolphin stay in the diving position?
  • Which parts were used to assemble the dolphin’s fin?
  • Did you find it difficult to fit the gray connector to the blue one?

Then, arrange the kit parts in the indicated location.
